London Basement’s roots can be traced back to a family-run company established in 1962, which undertook construction and development works specialising in cellar and basement waterproofing, including small cellar conversions.

Successful conversions of smaller basements and vaults earned the company a reputation for providing clients with much needed space from otherwise unused areas. In recognising the real benefits of this, London Basement was formed in 1994 as a specialist company to undertake larger basement construction works.

The growing need for space, particularly within London, led to the construction of increasingly larger and more innovative basements and London Basement has pioneered many of the methods used today.

London Basement concentrates on basements in London  and therefore enjoys unrivalled expertise in this area, providing its services across the whole of London. The company also provides basement conversions and renovations for houses in the Home Counties and beyond, depending on the size and type of scheme required.

Many of our clients started asking us to do refurbishment works on their homes in conjunction with the construction of the new basement space. We have now successfully completed a number of these projects, often working with our clients architect and/or interior designers.
