Project Management
We are acknowledged as leaders within the basement excavation and construction industry, earning envy from competitors and total confidence from clients who demand the highest levels of professionalism.
None of this would be possible without our dedicated team of structural foreman, fit-out foreman and project managers all of whom work tirelessly to create the basement of your dreams.
A member of our project management team is assigned to your project during the latter stages of the design process, so as to better understand your requirements at the outset, and will remain your main point of contact throughout the course of the work.
During the structural works they will liaise closely with the structural foreman, ensuring the structural shell is delivered on time and within budget. Once the structural shell has been waterproofed, our dedicated fit-out foreman and his team will commence the fitting out works.
Whilst our fit-out foreman will co-ordinate the various trades, the project manager will ensure that key items are ordered and on site in time. In addition, they will also be on hand to help you finalise selection of floor finishes, wall finishes, ironmongery and specialist joinery. They will also co-ordinate any specialist trades, for example audio-visual, as well as your own sub-contractors such as security/alarm installations.
Health & Safety…
London Basement views matters of Health and Safety as of the utmost importance. In our opinion, if the job is not done safely then it is not done effectively.
To achieve this goal the company employs a full time Health and Safety Manager to oversee our safety department. All company sites are regularly audited to ensure sites comply with all relevant Health and Safety acts and regulations.
London Basement’s commitment to training is no better demonstrated than having successfully qualified 35 underpinners to NVQ Level II standard, believed to be an industry first. We also regularly send our project management and site employees on specific training courses, such as the SMSTS course (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), which 30 key personnel attended at the beginning of this year.
