The London Basement Company’s roots can be traced back to a family run group of companies established in 1962. The company undertook building and development works, specialising in cellar and basement waterproofing, including small cellar conversions.
Successful conversions of smaller basements and vaults earned the company a reputation for providing clients with much needed space from otherwise unused areas.
In recognising the real benefits that conversion of existing basements and vaults could provide, The London Basement Company Ltd was formed in 1994 as a specialist company to undertake larger basement construction works.
The growing need for space, particularly within the Capital, led to the construction of increasingly larger and more innovative basements and the London Basement Company have been pioneers in many of the methods used today.

Keen to meet that demand The London Basement Company has grown at an incredible rate. Since its inception, The Company has moved three times, relocating into purpose built offices in Isleworth where 50 office based staff are employed. A further 300 staff are employed on the 40 or so sites in West, South West and North West London.
